Child Identification Kits

 Dear Sisters and Brothers:

There is nothing more important to the IBEW than our members and their families’ safety and well-being. Every year, approximately 800,000 children in the US go missing, and another, 50,000 go missing in Canada. To help our members protect their children and grandchildren, the IBEW has joined the National Child Identification Program to provide free Child ID Kits to our members.

A Child ID kit is a simple, yet effective tool to help families maintain current descriptive information about their children. The kit allows law enforcement authorities to scan the child’s fingerprints from the completed Child ID Kit into the National Crime Information Center database, to assist in locating a missing child.

Kits are being offered to our members at no cost. To find out more about the program and/or order kits for your family, please contact Laura at the Union hall.

The IBEW’s participation in the National Child Identification Program is one way to ensure the safety of our members and their families, as well as reduce the number of missing children in the United States and Canada and we hope you will take advantage of this valuable offer.
